Hunted Tiger

August 17, 2009

Holy Crap!  Tiger Woods lost to South Korea’s Y.E. Yang today in the PGA Championship in Chaska, Minnesota.  In one of the biggest upsets in the sport’s history, Yang, 37, became the first Asian-born golfer to win a major championship. He was also the first golfer to overtake Woods in a major championship in which Woods had the lead going into the final round.  Woods was 14-0 when he went into the final round of a major atop the leaderboard. He had not lost any tournament around the world in nine years when leading by two shots.Woods shot a 75, which tied his highest closing round as a professional in a major championship.

Tiger blamed his poor performance on his putting.  He missed eight putts from inside 10 feet.  However, his swing looked a bit off.  More rigid and a bit jerky if you ask me.  Has Tiger lost his edge?
